Heterosexual Mass Murderer Kills 9,
Himself, in Crazed Terror Spree

Police suggested heterosexual marital problems as a motive for the attack and said Pardo and his wife of one year settled a contentious divorce last week.

Shooting nine people to death wasn't enough for crazed heterosexual killer Bruce Jeffrey Pardo. Dressed in a Santa Claus suit, he then proceeded to attempt to kill the other twenty people in the house by incinerating them with a home-made device which sprayed burning napalm.

Terrified screaming victims leaped out of first and second story windows to escape the flames. Pardo also rigged his rental car so that if someone tried to remove the Santa suit, the car would explode. Police suggested heterosexual marital problems as a motive for the attack and said Pardo and his wife of one year settled a contentious divorce last week. Pardo began his mad killing spree by shooting an eight year old girl in the face. She reportedly survived but suffered severe tissue damage and may be deformed for life.

Pardo intended to fly to Canada to escape his crimes but was himself badly burned on the legs and body and was found dead at the house of his brother with a self-inflicted bullet wound to the head.

Gay Groups Speak Out
In related developments, gay organizations throughtout California were calling for legislation to be introduced which would effectively revoke the rights of heterosexuals to marry. Carl Wilde, president of Gay Men and Women United called for immediate action. "For years, one of the leading causes of unnatural deaths in California has been heterosexual spousal murder. How many more Scott Peterson's and Bruce Pardo's are we going to have killing innocent men, women, and children before the state legislature takes action."

Joyce Jones of Lesbians for Marriage Equality also called for the suspension of heterosexual marriage rights. "We don't just have the problem of all these (heterosexual) spousal murders, we have incest, child abuse and torture, child abandonment, adultery, and a divorce rate of more than 50%."

"What we have is an archaic instition that is not only denying marriage rights to same sex partners, but is also failing to meet the needs of heterosexuals."

Asked whether the high spousal murder rate among heterosexuals was due to a genetic heterosexual predisposition for violence or fatal flaws in the institution of marriage itself, Reginald Williams of Gay, Black and Proud said, "It's both. We're for halting the granting of marriage licenses for everyone at this point until we come up with something better. Clearly, the nuclearizing of the family in industrialized nations has undermined its ability to raise children in a healthy and stable environment. Equally important for us, historically the institution of marriage has never been extended to same sex partners, nor has it ever taken into account those who wish to marry who do not intend to raise children. So what we have is an archaic instition that is not only denying marriage rights to same sex partners, but is also failing to meet the needs of heterosexuals."

Calls to Reverend Rick Warren went unanswered, as did numerous calls to other religious leaders in the state who backed Proposition 8, which recently revoked same sex marriage rights and also threatens to void 18,000 same sex marriages. However, we did receive an unsolicited call from one Mormon group. Luke Landon of Make Ten the Age of Consent downplayed the uproar over Pardo's killing spree. "This was an isolated incident, and of course Pardo went a little too far and shouldn't have been impersonating Santa Claus. That was really despicable. Us Mormons don't have those sort of problems as we follow the teachings of the bible and do not allow divorces except when approved by the husband."
